Forms should collect only what helps
Every field in a form creates friction and responsibility. A consultation form should ask enough to understand the project without forcing a visitor to write a full brief before trust exists.
A good form asks about the business, the website goal, the expected page count and the timeline. Additional details can come later in a proper conversation.
- Keep the first step short.
- Make optional fields clearly optional.
- Send data to a controlled business inbox or system.
DeltyWeb note
A polished website makes privacy feel part of the experience, not an afterthought added at the end.
